AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 10904.16 OF
THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL
AND DENTAL OFFICES. (Amendment No. 137)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. Sub -paragraph a) of Section 10904.16 of the West
Covina Municipal Code is amended to read:
"10904.16. OFF-STREET PARKING (Non -Residential
Zones Except PAR)
The following off-street parking spaces
shall be provided:
a) General Business
i. Business, general retail, and
personal service - One parking
space for each 250 square feet
of gross floor area (see definition)
ii. Medical and dental office having
• less than 20,000 square feet of
,gross floor area - One parking
space for every 150 square feet
of gross floor area. Medical
or dental office having more than
20,000 square feet of gross floor
area - One parking space for every
200 square feet of gross floor area.
iii. Business office - One parking space
for every 300 square feet of
gross floor area."
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that
the change in the off-street parking requirements provided for in
Section 1 hereof, is consistent with the City's General Plan.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact prepared for the
modification of the off-street parking requirements contained in
Section 1 hereof and reviewed and approved for certification by the
Planning Commission, after notice and public hearing, is adequate and
has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and is hereby adopted by the City
Council and shall be certified by the Planning Director, as required
by law.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
