AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING
SECTION 10501.04 OF THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FEES
REQUIRED IN•.CONNECTION WITH THE PRE-
PARATION OR PROCESSING OF ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORTS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 10501.04 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is amended to read:
"10501.04 Environmental Impact Report Fees
If, pursuant to Section 10505 and the Guidelines and
Procedures for the evaluation of environmental
impact of proposed projects, the Planning Director
declares that a proposed action is not categorically
exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970, he shall require
that the following fees be paid at the�time he
accepts the application -to prepare qr;process
required environmental impact documents:
• a. $30.00 per hour for each hour of staff
time actually spent in the preparation
or processing of initial studies and
Environmental Impact Reports.
An initial deposit of $300.00 shall be
required from which the time charged
will be funded. When the deposit is
exhausted, additional deposits may be
required by the Planning Director.
b. The fee for environmental impact documents
required in connection with variances or
slight modifications involving one single
family lot shall not exceed.$50.00."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner required
by law.
