ORDINANCE NO. 1298
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES (Zone
Change Application No. 501 - Glen D. Rankin).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and by the City Council and that the public convenience, necessity
and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the follow-
ing zone change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2ck reading
as follows:
"9202.2ck. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2. and the zoning map referred to therein, the
following premises are hereby placed and included in the Service
Commercial (S-C) Zone, to wit:
That certain parcel of land generally known as 2144 East
Garvey Avenue, and as more particularly described in
Zone Change Application No. 501."
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and determine
• that the negative declaration of environmental impact for the develop-
ment, as adopted by the Planning Commission after notice and public
hearing, is adequate, has been prepared in accordance with the Cali-
fornia Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and
is hereby adopted by the City Council which finds that the impact
of the development of the parcel of property in accordance with the
development standards contained in the Service Commercial (S-C) Zone
will not have a substantially adverse effect upon the environment
of the area.
SECTION 4. The City Council does hereby find and declare
that the zone change for the property described in Section 2 hereof is
consistent with the General Plan of the City of West Covina.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

regular meeting of the City Council on the 12th day of April ,
1976, by the following vote, to wit:
