AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE SO AS TO REZONE
CERTAIN PREMISES (Zone Change Application
No. 493 - City -Initiated).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and
published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by
the Planning Commission and by the City Council and that the
public convenience, necessity and general welfare and good
zoning practice require that the following zone change and
amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2cd reading
as follows_

WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE
• 9202.2cd. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions of
Section 9202.2'.and the zoning map referred to therein, the
following premises are hereby placed and included in the
Open Space (O-S) Zone, to wit:

Those certain parcels of land described as set forth
on the excess freeway parcel description sheet
attached to Planning Commission Resolution No. 2069
as Exhibit 1 and further described on the map attached
to said resolution and designated as Exhibit 2. Said
Exhibits 1 and 2 attached to Planning Commission
Resolution No. 2609 are incorporated herein by this
reference and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and
declare that the development of the parcels of property
• described in Section 2 hereof in accordance with the provisions
of the Open Space (O-S) Zone will enhance the environment of
the area and that the rezoning of the parcels of property to
the Open Space (0-S) Zone is categorically exempt under the
California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State
Guidelines and the categorical exemption is hereby approved.

SECTION 4. The City Council does hereby find and
declare that the zone change for the property described in
Section 2'. is consistent with the General Plan of the City
of West Covina and with the Open Space Element of that plan.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.
