AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION TO, INCORPORATING IN, AND MAKING A
• PART OF SAID CITY OF WEST COVINA, CERTAIN
TERRITORY OUTSIDE THE SAID CITY AND CONTIGUOUS
THERETO, KNOWN AS "EASTERLY ANNEXATION NO. 220".
WHEREAS, on May 28,1975, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of Los Angeles approved the annex-
ation of certain uninhabited territory to the City of West
Covina known and identified as "Easterly Annexation No. 220
to the City of West Covina"; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has
determined that the proposed annexation is exempt from the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act under
Section 15101 of the State Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of law, the
City Council of the City of West Covina, after notice and
hearing, has determined by resolution that a majority protest
against said annexation has not been made;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The annexation to the City of West Covina
• of the territory hereinafter described, the boundary description
of which has been approved by the County Engineer of the County
of Los Angeles and the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Los Angeles, and which territory was designated in
the resolution of the Local Agency Formation Commission as
"Easterly Annexation No. 220", be and the same is hereby
annexed to, incorporated in, and made la part of the City of
West Covina, to wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line
of Tract No. 10330 as shown on map filed in Book 161,
pages 22 to 31, inclusive of Maps, in the office of
the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and a curve
concave to the north and having a radius of 1617 feet,
said curve passes through a point in the straight
line portion of the easterly boundary of Lot 22 of
said tract, distant South 200 14► 55" East along
said straight line portion 64.66 feet from the
northerly terminus thereof, a radial of said curve
to said point bears South 10 32' 19" West, said
intersection being an angle point in the boundary
of the City of West Covina as same existed on
June 5, 1975; thence westerly along said boundary
and following the same in all its various courses
and curve to its first intersection with the boundary
• of the City of Covina as same existed on said date;
thence southeasterly and easterly along said last
mentioned boundary to a point in that certain course
having a bearing and length of S. 780 00' 27" E.
358.81 feet in the southerly boundary of that certain
parcel of land described as Parcel 1 in a Resolution
of the California Highway Commission, a certified
copy of which is recorded in Book R1426, page 964 of
Official Records, in the office of said recorder,

said last mentioned point being distant South
780 00' 27" East along said certain course 152.89
feet from its intersection with the westerly line
of Lot 12 of said Tract No. 10330; thence South 690
53' 07" East along the westerly prolongation of that
certain course having a bearing and length of
S. 69° 53' 07" E. 190.59 feet in the access denial
• line as shown on County Surveyor's Filed Map No. 11786,
Sheet 4, on file in the office of the County Engineer
-of said county and said last mentioned certain course
a. distance of 234.75 feet to the easterly terminus
of said last mentioned certain course; thence North
810 08' 14" East 15.90 feet to said boundary of the
City of Covina; thence southeasterly along said last
mentioned boundary and following the same in all its
various courses and curves to said easterly line of
Tract No. 10330; thence southerly along said easterly
line to the point of beginning.
Said territory shall be designated as "Easterly Annexation No. 220".
SECTION 2. The territory hereby annexed to the City of
West Covina shall be a part of the City for all purposes from,
the date of the filing with the County Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles of the affidavit of the completion of the annexation
proceedings provided for in Section 34080and 34081 of the Government
Code.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as
required by law. Upon the effective date of this ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy thereof with the
• Secretary of State of the State of California and after such
certified copy has been so filed and the Certificate of the
Secretary of State certifying to its filing has been received by
the City of West Covina, the City Clerk shall file with the
County Recorder of '.:the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles
the affidavit and documents required by Sections 34080 and 34081
of the Government Code and shall file a certified copy of the
map and boundary description of the annexed territory with the County
Engineer and the County Assessor of the County of Los Angeles and
with the State Board of Equalization of the State of California and
the Census Bureau of the United States government.
