ORDINANCE NO. 1263
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REPEALING SECTION 4117 OF THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE AND AMENDING SECTION 4118
THEREOF, RELATING TO GAMES OF SKILL.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4117 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Section 4118 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is amended to read:
"GAMES OF CHANCE PROHIBITED. EXCEPTIONS.
No person shall keep, maintain or possess in any place
of business or in any place of public resort or any other
place any mechanical device or any mechanically operated
contrivance for the playing of any game of chance, the
use or operation of which is controlled, permitted or made
available by placing therein any coin, plug, disk, key or
token, or which is let for use, operation or play upon the
payment or delivery of anything of value therefor, or upon
the making of any purchase."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1263 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the loth day of February , 1975.
That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 24th day of February ,
1975, by the following vote, to wit:
