ORDINANCE NO. 1242
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA ADDING SECTION 6235.7 TO THE
WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
REPRESENTATIVES OF NEWSPAPER PUBLISHERS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 6235.7 is hereby added to the West
Covina Municipal Code to read:
"6235.7 NEWSPAPER PUBLISHERS' REPRESENTATIVES.
The business license issued to any newspaper publisher
pursuant to Section 6235.3 shall authorize the licensee to
issue letters of identification to persons under eighteen
years of age which are sufficient to identify the person
as the representative, agent or independent contractor
of the licensee for the purpose of delivering, collecting
for or soliciting subscriptions to, the newspapers published
by the licensee. No other permit or license shall be
required of any such representative under the provisions
of this chapter."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
