ORDINANCE NO. 1236
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNCIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change Application No. 487 - The May Stores
Shopping Centers, Inc.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and pub-
lished, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning
Commission and by the City Council and that the public convenience,
necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice require that
the following zone change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2., The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2by reading
as follows:
119202.2by. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2':: and the zoning map referred to therein, the
following premises are hereby placed and included in the Regional
Commercial Zone (R-C), to wit:
An 1.288 acre parcel of land located at the southeast
corner of Citrus Street and Garvey Avenue as more
particularly described in Zone.Change Application No.
487 and Resolution No. 2504 of the Planning Commission
of the City of West Covina."
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare
that the impact of the change of zone provided for herein will not
have a significant effect on the environment and the negative declara-
tion of environmental impact, as adopted by the Planning Commission
after notice and public hearing, is approved.
SECTION 4. The'City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
