ORDINANCE NO. 1230
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1224
AND APPROVING A PROPOSED REVISED LEASE OF
PARKING FACILITIES FROM THE PARKING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA.
WHEREAS on July 23, 1973, the City Council adopted
Ordinance No. 1224 , approving the entering into of a lea -se
with the Parking Authority of the City of West Covina•, and
WHEREAS, the form of said lease has been revised in
a substantial manner, and
WHEREAS, the entering into of said lease as revised
by the City of West Covina will serve the best interests of
the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
West Covina does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Recital Paragraph 5 and Section 1 of
Ordinance No. 1224 , adopted July 23, 1973, are hereby amended
to incorporate by reference that certain document entitled
"West Covina. Parking Authority -City of West -Covina Parking
Facilities Lease", on file with the City Clerk at the time of
first reading of this Ordinance.
Said lease on file with the City Clerk is hereby approved
provided that the annual base rental payable thereunder shall not
exceed $700,000.00.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance,shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the
Authority and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be effective 30 days
from the date of its adoption and shall be subject to referendum
in accordance with the provisions of the Government Code of the
State of California.
