AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (ZONE
CHANGE APPLICATION NO. 483 - AMBASSADOR INNS OF
AMERICA, INC.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine,
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and
published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the
Planning Commission and by the City Council, and that the public
convenience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice
require that the following zone change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2b-v reading
as follows:
119202.2b-v. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2b and the zoning map referred to therein
the following described premises are hereby placed and
included in the S-C, Service Commercial Zone, to wit:
A 3.66 acre parcel located on Garvey Avenue, approximately
100 feet east of Sunset Avenue, north of. the San Bernardino
Freeway, and as more particularly described in Zone Change
Application No. 483."
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare
• that the Environmental Impact Report for the Ambassador Inns of
America, Inc., project as adopted by the Planning Commission after
notice and public hearing is adequate, has been prepared in
accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and is hereby adopted
by the City Council.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.
