AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change Application No. 452 - City Initiated)
The City Council of the'City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone changes and amendments were duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and by the City Council and that the public convenience, necessity
and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following
zone changes and amendments be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2ay reading as
follows:
"9202.2ay. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the zoning map referred to therein, the
following premises are hereby placed and included in the
R-C (Regional Commercial) Zone, to wit:
That property consisting of 61.2 acres bounded on
the north by Workman Avenue, on the south by the San
Bernardino Freeway, on the east by Barranca Avenue,
and on the west by Citrus Avenue, as more particularly
described in Zone Change Application No. 452."
SECTION 3. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2az reading
as follows:
"9202.2az. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the zoning map referred to therein, the
following premises are hereby placed and included in the
R-C (Regional Commercial) Zone, to wit:
That property consisting of 15.9 acres bounded on the
west by Barranca Avenue, on the east by the Walnut
Creek Channel, on the north by the City boundary, and
on the south by the San Bernardino Freeway, as more
particularly described in Zone Change Application No.
452."
SECTION 4. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare
does not require that the zone be changed on those parcels designated
as Parcels 1, 4 and 5 in Zone Change Application No. 452 and the
change of zone applied for on each of those parcels is hereby denied.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
. law.
