Ordinance - 11440 C ORDINANCE NO. 1144 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA ADDING SECTION 9218.10 TO THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE REQUIRING THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN PARK FEES IN CONNECTION WITH MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT. (Amendment No. 112) The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 9218.10 is hereby added to the West Covina Municipal Code to read: "9218.1o. SAME. PARK FEES - MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT (a) The Planning Commission may, as a condition to the approval of any precise plan of design for a multiple family residential development, require the payment of fees for park or recreation purposes wherever it is reasonable to do so in view of its studies and investigation and in consideration of the circumstances. (b) Every person who develops multiple family residential zoned land shall pay a fee as set forth in this section for the purpose of providing park and recreational facilities to serve future residents of such development. (c) This section shall apply to all undeveloped multiple family residential zoned property and to all approved precise plans which have not commenced construction prior to effective date of this section. (d) The amount of the fee required to be paid which shall be in lieu of land dedication shall be based upon the number of bedrooms per unit as follows: Number of Bedrooms Dollars Per Unit 1 bedroom, bachelor, single $ 95.00 2 bedrooms ................. 120.00 3 bedrooms ................. 160.00 4 or more bedrooms......... 200.00 Mobile home unit........... 120.00" SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 13th day of October , 1970.
