AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA ADDING SECTION 6226.5 TO THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE GRANTING
OF CERTAIN BUSINESS LICENSES WITHOUT FEE.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
ollows:
SECTION 1. Section 6226.5 is added to the West Covina Municipal
Code to read:
116226.5. NON-PROFIT CORPORATIONS.
Subject to the approval of the City Council, a license may
be obtained without the payment of the fee required under the
provisions of this Chapter by any non-profit corporation which is
organized for recreational, social or educational purposes for
the maintenance and operation of recreational, social or edu-
cational facilities within the City of West Covina.
Section 6227 shall apply to the issuance of non -fee licenses
under this section, except that if the City Clerk determines that
the applicant qualifies for a non -fee license, he shall refer the
application to the City Council for final approval or rejection."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
