AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 6236
OF THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, RELAT-
ING TO THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSES TO RE-
STRICTED BUSINESSES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 6236 of the West Covina
Municipal Code is amended to read:
6236. RESTRICTED BUSINESSES. PERMIT FROM
COUNCIL.
No license shall be issued for any mail order
business, livery or feed stable, gasoline plant, topping
plant, oil refinery, absorption plant, supply or storage
depot or yard, cracking plant, carnival, automobile muf-
fler or upholstery installation, auto body shop, auto radi-
ator shop, auction, auction house, junk dealer, wrecking
house, or taxi stand, or lunch wagons on public streets,
or drive-in or walk-up or outside service type of res-
taurants, nor shall any of the same be assigned or trans-
ferred, except on the order of the City Council.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published
as required by law.
