AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA ANNEXING TO THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESCRIBED AND HEREINAFTER
DESIGNATED AS EASTERLY ANNEXATION NO. 211
TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the
Government Code and the -annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, a petition and a consent to annexation signed by
the owners of all of the land hereinafter described by area
and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assess-
ment role of the County of Los Angeles, and designated as
easterly annexation No. 211 to the City of West Covina was
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission, Los Angeles
County, and the City of West Covina._
SECTION 2. At its meeting of August 13, 1969 the
Local Agency Formation Commission adopted a Resolution approv-
ing the said proposed annexation of territory designated as
easterly annexation No. 211 to the City of West Covina and
authorized the City to conduct proceedings without notice and
hearing pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to the consent of all the owners
of all 'of the hereinafter described land and the approval of the
• Local Agency Formation Commission, Los Angeles County, the follow-
ing described territory described as easterly -annexation No. 211
to the City of West Covina is hereby annexed to the City of West
Covina:
That portion of Lot 14 of Tract No-. 3546 in the
County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map filed in Book 40 pages 82 and 83 of
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of
said County and*that portion of Cortez Street,
formerly California Avenue, as shown on said
map, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly
boundary of the City of West Covina as same
existed'on May 1, 1969 (along Cortez Street)
and the northeasterly prolongation of the north-
westerly line of said Lot 14; thence south-
westerly along said prolongation and continuing
southwesterly along the boundary of said Lot 14
and following the same in all its various courses
to the westerly boundary of that certain parcel
"of land described as Parcel 22-22 in deed to
County of Los Angeles for Grand Avenue) recorded
in Book D4080, page 738 of Official Records, in
the office of said County Recorder; thence
northerly along said westerly boundary to the
southerly terminus of that certain curve in said
westerly boundary being concentric with and 60
feet westerly, measured radially from a 1150 foot
radius curve having a length of 909.93 feet as
described in said deed; thence northerly along
said certain curve and its northerly continuation
to the boundary of said city; thence westerly and
northwesterly along said last mentioned boundary
to the point of beginning.

SECTION 4. When this Ordinance becomes effective the
City Clerk shall immediately prepare under seal a certified copy
of the Ordinance giving the date of its passage and transmit it
to the Secretary of State.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published as required
by law.
