AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REPEALING SECTION 9217.2.1 OF THE
WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING A NEW
SECTION 9217.2.1 THERETO RELATING TO AREA
DISTRICT IA. (AMENDMENT NO. 92)
• The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following amendment was duly initiated, that notice of
hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon
were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council, and
that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning
practice require that the following amendment be made.
SECTION 2. Section 9217.2.1 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby repealed..
SECTION 3. Section 9217.2.1 is hereby added to the West
Covina Municipal Code to read:
"9217.2.1. SAME. AREA DISTRICT IA.
The lot or parcel area required in Area District IA shall
be a minimum of six thousand square feet and no lot or parcel
shall be less than fifty feet in width, provided, however, that no
lot or parcel shall be less than ninety-five feet in depth.
In Area District IA the area of the dwelling enclosed within
• the exterior walls of the main building shall be not less than
nine hundred square feet, exclusive of garages and porches.
Area District IA shall apply to property annexed to the City,
which at the time of annexation was zoned Los Angeles County Zone
R-1 with six thousand square foot minimum lot size."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and cause the same to be published as required by law.
