• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 2422 OF THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROBATIONARY
PERIOD FOR POLICE OFFICERS
follows: The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
SECTION 1. Section 2422 of the West Covina. Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read:
112422. Probationary Period. With the exception
of Police Officers all original and promotional appoint-
ments shall be for a probationary period of one year.
All original and promotional appointments to the posi-
tion of Police Officer shall be for a probationary period
of 18 months.
During the probationary period the employee may be
rejected at any time without right of appeal or hearing.$'
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
