AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 9219.12 OF THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CERTAIN TEMP-
ORARY USES OF PROPERTY. (Amendment No. 86)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 9219.12 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is amended by adding subparagraph F thereto to read as follows:
"F. The outdoor sale of firewood and temporary
signs relating thereto may be permitted in the
C-3 Zone for a period not to exceed 30 days in
any calendar year with two extensions of 30
days each if the conditions of the original
permit have been met, subject to the following
conditions:
1. All firewood shall be neatly stacked
and delivered to a fenced site in such
a condition as to require no additional
cutting, splitting, or sawing.
2. There shall be no power equipment, other
than that necessary for the movement of
such wood, on the site.
• 3. The site shall be treated with gravel,
decomposed granite, or other similar
material to eliminate wet ground con-
ditions.
4. The site must be maintained and left in
a neat and orderly condition, free of
all debris or residue directly attributable
to this use of the property."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1030 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 26th day of February ,
1968`. That thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the llth day of March ,
1968, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gillum, Nichols, Gleckman, Krieger
NOES: Councilmen Snyder
ABSENT: Councilmen None
