AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE -CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
• CODE TO ADOPT THE "STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION", 1967 EDITION.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7113 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 7113. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS.
Subject to the condition hereinafter set forth in this
Section, that certain code entitled "Standard Specifications
for Public Works Construction", 1967 Edition, written and
promulgated by the Joint Committee of the Southern California
Chapters of the American Public Works Association and the
Associated General Contractors of America, consisting of a
published compilation of a uniform set of specifications,
updated and embracing the most modern materials and construc-
tion techniques for public works construction, adopted by the
County of Los Angeles, an agency of the State, three full
printed copies of which, printed as a code in book form, were
by the City Council ordered filed and which have been filed
in the office of the City Clerk, and which, as so on file,
are hereby referred to and by this reference expressly
incorporated herein and made a part hereof as fully and for
all intents and purposes as though set forth herein at length,
shall be and the same is hereby adopted and established as
the specifications, rules, regulations, standards, contracts,
permits and provisions which shall govern and apply to and
be observed in the construction, alteration, installation,
repair, removal and demolition of public works within the
City or by the City as to all matters therein set forth;
subject, however, to the condition that whenever any
provision of said standard specifications hereby adopted
conflicts with any other provision or requirement of the
West Covina Municipal Code, such other provision or
requirement shall apply."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
