ORDINANCE NO. 995
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 375 - City Initiated)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and by the City Council, and that the public convenience,.necessity
and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following
zone change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new Section 9202.2.97 reading as follows:
"9202.2.97. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Zone, to wit:
That portion of Lot 12 of Eugene Riggin's Subdivision
of the Hathaway Tract, in the City of West Covina,
County of Los Angeles and State of California, as per
map recorded in book 53 page 37 of Miscellaneous Records
in the office of the County Recorder of said county,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly line of
said Lot 12 with the Easterly line of the Westerly 325
feet, measured at right angles from the Westerly line
of said lot; thence along said Northerly line, South
87° 24' 46" East 394.33 feet, more or less, to a line
parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot 12 which
passes through a point in the Northerly line of Tract
No. 18452 as per map recorded in Book 455, Pages 28 and
29 of Maps, Records of said County, said point distant
along said last mentioned Northerly line, North 870 28'
08" West 113.94 feet from the Northeast corner of Lot
48 of said Tract No. 18452; thence along said parallel
line South 40 29' 35" West 50.01 feet, more or less,
to the Northerly line of said Tract No. 18452; thence
along said last mentioned Northerly line, North 870 28'
o8" West 394.36 feet, more or less, to the above mentioned
Easterly line of the Westerly 325.00 feet; thence along
said Easterly line North 40 30' 45" East 50.40 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
