ORDINANCE NO 1010
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST C OVINA AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS
OF THE WEST C OVINA MUNIC IPA L CODE RELATING
TO THE PARKING OF CERTAIN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3187 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3187. PARKING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY - PROHIBITED.
No person shall park or leave standing a vehicle in a
private driveway or on private property without the direct
or implied consent of the owner or person in lawful possess-
ion of such driveway or property. No owner or person in
lawful possession of land shall give direct or implied consent
to park on his property within the City any commercial vehicle
over three tons gross weight or any semi -truck and trailer,
or either section thereof, except in the M (Industrial) Zone
or except for pickups or deliveries or except for service or
repair at a place duly licensed for service or repair for
such time as is reasonably required for such pickups,
deliveries, services, or repairs, or except for the time
that such vehicle is in actual use or operation or is parked
on a construction site where such vehicle is used, or while
parked for the purpose of patronizing the business of said
owner or Berson in possession of the same or adjacent
premises.'
SECTION 2. Section 3188 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3188. PARKING HEAVY COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT IN CERTAIN ZONES -
PROHIBITED.
No person shall park or leave standing any commercial
vehicle over three tons gross weight or any semi -truck and
trailer, or either section thereof, in any zone or street
In any zone other than the M (Industrial) Zone for more
than two hours at any one time unless the subject property
has been zoned for or granted a variance for or an unclassi-
fied use permit for a use other than residential and the
parking of such vehicles is a reasonable accessory to the
operation of such use."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

1967. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at
a regular meeting of the City Council on the 9th day of October ,
1967, by the following vote, to wit:
