ORDINANCE NO. 986
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A NEW SECTION
4135 PROHIBITING CERTAIN OBJECTS AND MATERIAL
IN FRONT YARDS AND IN CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SIDE
AND REAR YARDS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new Section 4135 reading as follows:
"4135. CERTAIN OBJECTS AND MATERIALS PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN
YARDS.
No person,shall, within the front yard area, or on that
portion of the side yard or rear yard area fronting on a public
street and exposed to public view, of any parcel of real property
zoned for residential purposes, maintain or permit to remain for
more than twenty-four hours:
(a) Any automobile, motorcycle, boat'or other con-
veyance in a state of being repaired, dismantled,
immovable, assembled or disassembled;
(b) Any abandoned, discarded, or unused objects or
equipment;
(c) Any pile of lumber, junk, trash, weeds, grass,
or other debris; provided, however, that this
subsection (c) shall not apply to any parcel
upon which a building is in the process of
construction."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and cause the same to be published as required by
law.
