AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 365 - Chrysler Motors Corp.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and.
general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone
change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2.94 reading as follows:
"9202.2.94. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the pro-
visions of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to
therein, the following described premises are hereby placed and
included in the C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Zone, to wit:
That portion of the west half of Lot 4 in Block 28 of
the Phillips Tract, in the Rancho La Puente, in the
City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 9, pages 3
and 4 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the
County Recorder of said county, described as follows:
• Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
Azusa Avenue, 66 feet wide, with the centerline of
Workman Avenue, 66 feet wide, as shown on the map
of said tract; thence along said center line of Workman
Avenue south 89' 28, 03" east 67.45 feet; thence at
right angles south 0' 311 57" west 33.00 feet to the
south line of said Workman Avenue, being the most
easterly corner of the land described in the deed
recorded on May 20, 1957, as Instrument No. 1638 in
Book 54544, page 70 of Official Records of said county
and the true point of beginning; thence along said
south line south 89' 28, 03" east 266.79 feet to the
east line of said west half; thence along said east
line south 0' 141 48" east 627.08 feet to the south
line of said Lot 4; thence along the south line of
said Lot 4, north 89' 28, 11" west 28.83 feet to a
point on the northerly line of Garvey Avenue, as
granted to the State of California by deed recorded
on May 4, 1954, as Instrument No. 3379 in Book 44493,
page 345 of Official Records of said county, said
point being on a curve concave southwesterly and having
a radius of 93 feet, a radial bearing to said point
bears north 59' 59, 47" east; thence in a general north-
westerly direction along said last mentioned northerly
boundary line as follows: northwesterly along said
curve and northerly line through a central angle of 440
54' 52" an arc distance of 72.90 feet; north 74' 54' 55"
west 112.03 feet; north 63' 361 20" west 42.67 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northeasterly
and having a radius of 85 feet; thence northwesterly
along said last mentioned curve through a central angle of
41' 271 22" an are distance of 61.50 feet to a point in

the easterly line of the land described in the deed recorded
on October 8, 1941, as Instrument No. 4437 in Book 18799,
page 204 of Official Records; thence north 2' 281 22" west
47.02 feet along said last mentioned line in said last
mentioned deed to the northeasterly corner of the land
described in said last mentioned deed, being also the
southwesterly corner of the land described in said deed
recorded in Book 54544, page 70 of Official Records of said
county; thence along the easterly boundary line of the land
described in said last mentioned deed as follows: north
0' 151 02" west 429.87 feet and north 45' 081 33" east
23.87 feet to the true point of beginning."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
