ORDINANCE NO. 965
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 361 - Varney)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2.90 reading as follows:
'19202.2.90. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the pro-
visions of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to
therein, the following described premises are hereby placed
and included in the C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Zone, to wit:
That portion of the west 1/2 of -Lot 4, Blk. 21 of
the Phillips tract in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded
in book 9, pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous Records in
the office of the County Recorder of said county des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of
Rowland Avenue 99 feet wide with the westerly line of
Tract No. 21159 recorded in book 591, page 49 of maps
in the office of said County Recorder; thence south
00 081 35" west on said western line of said Tract No.
21159, 312 feet to the point of beginning, thence north
890 061 39" west 283.79 feet to the easterly line of
Azusa Avenue 100 feet wide, thence south 00 08f 48"
west 141 feet more or less, thence south 890 061 39" east
283.79 feet to said westerly line of Tract No. 21159,
thence north 00 081 35" east 141 feet more or less to
the point of beginning.
SECTION_3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.

said ordinance was duly adopted ialn-d passe a a regular meeting -of the
City Council on the 25th day of April 1966, by the following
vote, to wit:
