AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 6236 .OF THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE SPECIFYING CERTAIN BUSINESSES
WHICH REQUIRE A PERMIT BEFORE A BUSINESS LICENSE
MAY BE ISSUED.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 6236 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
116236. RESTRICTED BUSINESSES. PERMIT FROM COUNCIL.
No license shall be issued for any livery or feed stable,
gasoline plant, topping plant, oil refinery, absorbtion plant
supply or storage depot or yard, cracking plant, carnival,
automobile muffler or upholstery installation, auto body shop,
auto radiator shop, auction, auction house, junk dealer,
wrecking house, or taxi stand, or lunch wagons on public
streets, or drive-in or walk-up for outside service type of
restaurants, nor shall any of the same be assigned or trans-
ferred, except on the order of the City Council."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
