Ordinance - 949ORDINANCE NO. 949 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FILLING STATION REGULATIONS. (Amendment No. 74) follows: The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the following amendment was duly initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and the general welfare require that the following amendment be made. SECTION 2. Subsection (a) of Section 9213.1 of the West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "(a) All uses shall be conducted wholly within a building except the uses mentioned in Section 9212.1 and the following uses: 1. Mobile home sales, building material sales, pottery sales, outdoor furniture sales, sporting sales. 2. Filling Stations: A. Materials, goods or commodities offered for sale, lease, rent or storage upon the premises of filling stations shall be located on the gasoline pump island or islands or within a structure enclosed on at least two sides which • shall be visible only from adjacent abutting streets and located a minimum of 15 feet from any street -side property line. B. All gasoline service stations whether heretofore or hereafter established shall comply with the provisions of this section." SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 22nd day of November , 1965.
