Ordinance - 941ORDINANCE NO. 941 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone Change no. 348 - Puppi) •The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that the following zone changes and amendments were duly initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare and good zoning practice require that the follow- ing zone change and amendment be made. SECTION 2. The west Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2.81 reading as follows: 119202.2.81.. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the pro- visions of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the following described premises are hereby placed and included in the C-3 Heavy Commercial Zone, to wit: That portion of the 196.64 acre tract of land in the Rancho La Puente, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, allotted to Robert P. Rowland in partition suite in Los Angeles County Superior Court Case No. 5800, described as follows: • Beginning at a point in the northerly line of Pomona Boulevard (now Valley Boulevard), 60 feet wide, said point being the southeasterly corner of the 60 acre tract of land conveyed to Leonard B. Boyer, by deed recorded in book 6924, page 106 of Deeds, records of said county, said point being also a point in the southerly prolonga- tion of the westerly line of Tract No. 27579, as per map recorded in book 736, page 92 and 93 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county; thence northerly along said southerly prolongation and the easterly line of said land conveyed to Boyer, North 30 501 00" East 393.07 feet to the southwesterly corner of said Tract No. 27579; thence easterly along the southerly line of said Tract No. 27579 and along the easterly pro- longation of said southerly line, South 79° 001 00" East 830.79 feet to a line which is parallel with and 200 feet westerly, measured at right angles, from the centerline of Nogales Street, 40 feet wide, as shown on map of said Tract No. 27579; thence along said parallel line, North 50 07' 35" East 294.19 feet to the southerly line of said Tract No. 27579; thence along said southerly line, South 860 10t 00" East 180.05 feet to the westerly line of said Nogales Street; thence along said westerly line of Nogales Street, South 50 07' 35" West 690.78 feet to the northerly line of said Pomona Boulevard; thence along said northerly • line, North 790 001 00" West 1002.93 feet to the point of beginning. Except the southerly 33 feet of said land. Also except that portion lying northerly of the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 47 of the Forster and Rowland Tract in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 20, pages 14 and 15 of Maps, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said county." SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage •of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 27th day of September , 1965.
