AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE 'WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM PLUMBING
CODE, 1964 EDITION."
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8120 of the 'West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
118120. PLUMBING CODE ADOPTED. 1964 EDITION.
A certain document, three copies of which are on file in
the office of the City Clerk, being marked and designated as
"Uniform Plumbing Code, 1964 Edition', is hereby adopted as the
Plumbing Code of the City for the protection of the public
health and safety, requiring a permit for the installation or
alteration of plumbing, gas and drainage systems, creating an
administrative office, de ing certain terms, establishing
minimum regulations for the installation, alteration or repair
of plumbing, gas and drainage systems and the inspection thereof,
and providing penalties for its violation; and the same is
hereby made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Part."
SECTION 2. Section 8121 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
118121. DELETIONS.
That portion of said Uniform Plumbing Code, 1964 Edition,
denominated Part Two and found on pages 9a to 12a, inclusive, is
hereby deleted therefrom and is not adopted by this Part."
SECTION 3. Said West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition of a new section 8122 reading as follows:
118122. SAME.
The words land precoolers' are hereby deleted from Section
310 (e) of said Uniform Plumbing Code."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
