AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE, 1964 EDITION, VOLUME I".
•The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8110 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"8110. BUILDING CODE ADOPTED. 1964 EDITION.
That a certain document, three copies of which being marked
and designated as 'Uniform Building Code, 1964 Edition, Volume It,
published by International Conference of Building Officials, be
and the same is hereby adopted as the building code of the City
for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, altera-
tion, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy,
equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings
and/or structures in the City, providing for issuance of permits
and collection of fees therefor, declaring and establishing fire
zones, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions and terms of the 'Uniform Building Code, 1964 Edition,
Volume It, published by the International Conference of Building
Officials, on file in the office of the.City Clerk are hereby
referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out
in this Part."
SECTION 2. Section 8110.1 of the West Covina.Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new paragraph (j) reading
as follows:
"(j) Chapter 70 of said Building Code is hereby deleted."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
