ORDINANCE NO. 897
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE
'VEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TAXICABS.
The City Council of.the City of West Covina does ordain as
SECTION 1. Section 6329 of the West Covina Municipal Code
.--:is hereby amended by the addition thereto of Sections 6329.1, 6329.2
and 6329.3 reading, respectively, as -follows:
116329.1. SAME. AGE OF VEHICLE.
No'automobile for hire shall be operated within the City
which is more than four years old. A permit authorizing the
operation of an automobile for hire shall automatically be
revoked when an automobile for hire is five years old.
6329.2. SAME. CONDITION OF VEHICLE.
Automobiles for hire shall at all times be maintained in
a mechanically safe condition and interior and exterior kept
clean.
6329.3. SAME. VEHICLE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION.
Every automobile for hire shall at all times be subject
to the inspection of any police officer or sanitary inspector
of the City."
SECTION 2. The 'Pity Clerk shall certify to the passage of
•this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.
