AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF.A
NEW SECTION 4110.1 AND AMENDING CERTAIN
OTHER SECTIONS RELATING TO CABARETS AND CAFES
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:.
SECTION 1. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 4110.1 reading as
follows:
114110.1 SAME. CAFE ENTERTAINMENT.
Cafe entertainment shall mean any live entertainment pre-
sented at any public place where food or beverage is sold,
offered for.sale, or given "away, or shall -mean any such place
where live entertainment is provided in any manner, furnished,

allowed, or permitted,to be carried on."
SECTION 2. Sections 4111 and 4111.1 of the West Covina
Municipal Code are hereby amended to read,'respectively, as follows:
114111. PERMIT REQUIRED..
No person shall conduct or operate any cabaret dance or
• operate any place having cafe entertainment unless such per-
son in charge of operating or having control of such cabaret
dance or such.place where such cafe entertainment is permitted,
.or allowed, has received a permit from the Chief of Police
.authorizing the conduct or operation of such cabaret dance
or place of cafe entertainment, subject,to appeal to the
City Council by any person aggrieved.
"4111.1 SAME. REVOCATION OF PERMITS.
No person shall operate, be in control of, or have the
management of any place or activity for which a permit is
required under this part which is operated, conducted, or
permitted to be operated or conducted contrary to the provi-
sions of Sections 4112 and 4113 nor such place be operated
or conducted or permitted to be operated or conducted con-
trary to any regulations adopted by the City Council or the
Chief of Police as may be reasonably necessary to protect
the public peace, health, safety, morals and general welfare
of the citizens of the City. The City Council may at any
time revoke any permit issued under Section 4111 for any
violations thereof. -No such permit shall be revoked unless,
after notice,.a hearing be first given to the permittee;"
SECTION,3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinanced:_shall-publish the same as required by law.
