AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE ZONING PROVISIONS OF
THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
RECREATIONAL USES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following amendments were duly initiated, that notice
of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings
thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City Council, and
that the public convenience and necessity and the general welfare require
that the following amendments be made.
SECTION 2. Subsections (i)', (u) and (v) of Section 9213
of the West Covina Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Section 9212 of the 'West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition thereto of five new subsections reading,
respectively, as follows:
" h Dancing schools.
i Swim schools.
j Theaters, other than open air.
k Gymnasiums, commercial.
1 Bowling alleys, billiard parlors and•pool halls."
SECTION 4. Subsection (f) of Section 9216 of the West Covina
Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing item 7 thereof and adding
items 8 through 12 to read respectively as follows:
"7. Public dance halls and private dance halls commercially
operated.
8. Golf course or driving range.
9. Golf, miniature.
10. Gun or shooting range.
11. Ice skating or roller skating rink.
12. Riding stables and riding schools."
SECTION 5. Section 9219.14 of the Wiest Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition at the end thereof of the following:
"Billiard Rooms -- 2 per table plus 1 for each employee"
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
