AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 293 - Citrus Commercial Properties)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following zone changes and amendments were duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission, and by the
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2.35 reading as follows:
"9202.2.35. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in -`the
C-2 General Commercial Zone, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 8 of Block 27 of the Phillips Tract,
in.the City of West Covina, county.of Los Angeles, state
of California, as per map recorded in book 9 pages 3 and
4 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the county
recorder of said county, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly line of the
• ..land described in Parcel 1 of the deed to the State of
California recorded in book 18392, page 363 of Official
Records in said office of the county recorder with the
Westerly line of said lot; thence along said Westerly
line North 00 29' 52" West 139.22 f8et; to the true
point of beginning; thence North 79 47'05" East 344.12
feet to the point of tangency of this course with a curve
concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 158.00 feet;
thence Northeasterly along said curve through an angle
of 740 08' 38" a distance of 204.46 feet; thence tangent
to said curve North 50 38' 27" East 127.97 feet to the
point of tangency of this course with a curve concave
Easterly and having a radius of 108.00 feet; thence
Northerly along said curve through an angle of 30 58'
27" a distance of 7.49 feet to the Westerly line of the
Easterly 150.00 feet of said lot; thence along said last
mentioned Westerly line North 00 30' 18" West to the
North line of said Lot 8; thence Westerly along said
North line to the Northwest corner of said lot; thence
along said West line of said Lot South 00 29' 52" East
to the true point of.beginning."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
