ORDINANCE NO. 847
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone f
Change No. 281.- Kreedman)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as.
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
that the following zone change and amendment was duly
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission,
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2..al reading as follows:
119202.2.31. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the `Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the R-4 High Density Multiple Family Zone,. to -wit:
Parcel 1: That portion of lot 112 of E. J. Baldwin's
Fourth Subdivision, in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map
recorded in Book 8 Page 186 of Maps, in the office of
the County Recorder of said county, described as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of said lot 112;
thence along the northwesterly line of said lot 112, South
410 53, 4o" West 161.44 feet, to the center line of Garvey
Avenue, as shown on. Tract No. 11798 as per map recorded in
Book 220 Pages 20 and 21 of Maps, in the office of said
Recorder; thence along the easterly prolongation of said
center line North 83° 16' 35" East 215.37 feet, to the
northeasterly line of said lot 112; thence along said
northeasterly line, North 480 lot 10" West 142.38 feet,
to the point of beginning.
EXCEPT that portion of said land within the lines of said
Garvey Avenue, as granted to the State of California, as
per deed recorded in Book 17828 page 165, Official Records.
ALSO EXCEPT THEREFROM THE 'precious metals and ores thereof'
as excepted from the partition between John Row land Sr., and
William Workman, in the partition deed recorded in book 10
page 39 of Deeds.
Parcel 2: Lot 40 of Tract No. 11798, in the City of West
Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 220 Pages 20 and 21 of Maps, in the
office of the.County Recorder of said county.
Parcel 3: The southeasterly 234.36 feet of the southwesterly
160 feet of that portion of lot 88 of E. J. Baldwin�s Second

Subdivision of a portion of the Rancho La Puente, in the
City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia, as per map recorded in Book 7 Page 7 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said county."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the, same to be published as required by
law.
