ORDINANCE NO. 843
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING
CHAPTER OF THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO HOTELS, MOTELS, COLLEGES, REST HOMES AND NURSERY
SCHOOLS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following amendments were duly initiated, that
notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City
Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and the general
welfare require that the following changes and amendments be made.
SECTION 2. Section 9212 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new subsection (g)
reading as follows:
"(g) Hotels and motels!'
SECTION 3. Subsection (b) of Section 9216 of the West
Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Churches, schools, colleges, public playgrounds and
parks"
SECTION 4. Section 9216 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new subsection (p)
reading as follows:
"(p) Rest homes and nursery schools."
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City

said ordinance was duly adopted and passed a —a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 24th day of February 1964, by the following
vote, to -wit:
