AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
-WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 272 - Lane)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission, and by the
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new seetion.9202.2.18 reading as follows:
119202.2.18. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the R-3 Multiple Family Residential Zone, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 95 and 96, Tract No. 930, in the
City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as recorded in Book 17, Pages 38 and 39
of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said
county, within the following described boundary:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 95,
distant South 880 56, 00" East 140.00 feet from the
• southeasterly corner of Lot 94 of said Tract No. 930;
thence North 1° 08, 00" East 511.63 feet; thence
easterly to a point on the centerline of Barranca
Street, said last mentioned point being 3.05 feet
northerly of the centerline intersection of Virginia
Avenue and Barranca Street, as shown on map of Tract No.
12292, as per map recorded in Book 288, pages 1 to 5,
inclusive, of Maps, in the office of said County Recorder;
thence southerly along said centerline of Barranca Street
to the easterly prolongation of the southerly line of
Lots 95 and 96 of said Tract No. 930; thence westerly
along said southerly line to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion of the above described
parcel, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 96;
thence northerly along the easterly line of said Lot 96,
110.00 feet; thence westerly, parallel with the southerly
line of said Lot 96, 85.00 feet; thence southwesterly in
a direct line to a point in the westerly line of the
easterly 170.00 feet of said Lot 96, said point being
40.00 feet northerly, measured along said westerly line
from said southerly line of Lot 96; thence southerly
40.00 feet along said westerly line to said southerly
• dine of Lot 96; thence easterly along said southerly line
to the point of beginning.
Also except therefrom the Easterly 30.00 feet of the
above described parcel, known as Barranca Street."

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

meeting of the City Council on the 12th day of November , 1963,
by the following vote, to -wit:
