AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AS ADOPTED BY THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8110.1 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended by the addition thereto of new subsections
(d), (e) and (f) reading respectively as follows:
"(d) Sec. 3302 (b) of said Building -Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new paragraph reading as follows:
'Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Section,
all Group F Occupancies shall have not less than two required
exits located at least a distance of 1/5th of the perimeter
of the room from each other.'
(e) Sec. 1305 (a) of said Building Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new paragraph reading as follows:
►In all sleeping rooms at least one window shall be within
42" of the floor and the least dimension of such window shall
be 20 inches.'
(f) Sec. 1405 (a) of said Building Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new paragraph reading as follows:
►In all sleeping rooms at least one window shall be within
42" of the floor and the least dimension of such window shall
be 20 inches.?"
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 802 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 27tb day of May, , 1963. That,
thereafter, said ordinance was duly allopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the loth day of June 1963,
by the following vote, to -wit:
