ORDINANCE NO. 792
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO REDUCE THE REQUIRED
WIDTH OF SIDEWALKS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
SECTION 1. Section 7113 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"7113. Those certain specifications entitled 'Standard
Specifications for Street Improvements', three copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for
inspection by the public, are hereby approved and adopted for
use in the City and shall govern the construction, maintenance
and repair of all streets and appurtenant facilities as therein
set forth,' except that in residential zones sidewalks may be only
four feet in width unless a greater width is required in any
particular area by precise plan of design or other legal require-
ment."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and publish the same as required by law.
