ORDINANCE NO. 782
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 246 = Mobilr: Oil Co.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission, and by the
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2sss reading as follows:
119202.2sss. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the C-2 General Commercial Zone, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 142 of E. J. Baldwin's Fourth Sub-
division of part of Rancho La Puente, in the City of
West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 8, Page 186 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County, lying
northerly of the northerly line of that certain 75,00:-
foot strip of land as granted in Deed to Los Angeles
County Flood Control District, recorded in Book 7441,
Page 248 of said Official Records. The center line of
said 75.00 foot strip of land being described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of said
Lot 142 distant South 480 07, 00" East thereon 223.11
feet from the most northerly corner thereof; thence
South 830.301 00" West 49.16 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve concave to the south having a radius
of 1910.10 feet; thence westerly along said curve 228.64
feet to the end of same; thence South 760 38' 30" West
tangent to said curve 86.41 feet to a point in the north-
westerly line of said Lot 142, distant South 410

West thereon 287.34 feet from the most northerly corner
thereof containing 0.63 of an acre of land, more or less,
the side lines of the above described strip of land are
to be prolonged or shortened so as to terminate easterly
and westerly in the northeasterly and northwesterly lines
of said Lot ,142.
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion of said land included
within the lines of the land conveyed to Los Angeles County
Flood Control District by Deed recorded on June 21, 1955,
as Instrument No. 3590, in Book 48128, Page 400 of said
Official records, described as follows:

to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 782 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 28th day of January, 1963. That, there-
after, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at an adjourned
regular meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of February, 1963,
by the following vote, to -wit:
