AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 248 City Initiated)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly
initiated, that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published,
that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and
general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone
change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The nest Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2ttt reading as follows:
"9202.2ttt. Zone changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the C-2 General Commercial Zone , to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the southwesterly line of the
land conveyed to Robert H. Raphael, by deed recorded
in Book 2637;- Page 73 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles
County, distant thereon 496.78 feet southeasterly from
the most westerly corner of said land of Raphael; thence
southwesterly and parallel with the northwesterly line
• of said Lot, 350.7-1/4 feet, more or less, to the north-
easterly line of the land conveyed to Charles H. Anderson
by deed recorded September 25, 1919, recorded;in Book 6953,
Page 265 of Deeds, thence southeasterly along said north-
easterly line 784,49 feet to a point in the southeasterly
line of said lot at the most easterly corner of said land
of Anderson; thence northeasterly along said southeasterly
line 350,24 feet more or less, to the most southerly corner
of said land of Robert H. Raphael; thence northwesterly
along the southwesterly line of said land 794.85 feet,
more or less to the point of beginning.
Excluding therefrom all land lying easterly of the westerly
line of Vincent Avenue 100' wide as per document no. 3974,
recorded on December 31, 1958, in Book D 319,E{pages 957,
958 and 959, official records of said county..,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.
