AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Zone
Change No. 2314 - City Initiated). The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby.find, determine and
declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that
public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and
by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and
general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following
zone change and amendment be .made.
SECTION 2. The Nest Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2yy reading as follows:
"9202.2yy. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the PaB Public Purpose Zone, to -wit:
"That portion of the Rancho La Puente in the City of West
Covina, County of Los Angeles State of California as per
map recorded in Book 1 pages 43 and 1414 of Patents in the
office of the County Recorder of said County described as
follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Tract
No. 2146148 in said City, as per map recorded in Book 665
page 68 of Maps in the office of said Count yy Recorder; thence
along . the easterly line of said Tract No. 2t4648, North 40
281 38 East 201.47 feet to a point which is distant South
14o 28' 38" West thereon 482.39 feet from the intersection
of said easterly line with the northerly line of the land
described in the deed to William Clyde King and his wife, as
recorded on September 26's 1948 as Instrument No. 1120 in
Book 28255 page 194 of Official Records, in the office of
said County Recorder; thence South 870 2141 27" East 20.00
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave north-
easterly, having a radius of 12.50 feet; thence south-
easterly along said curve through a central angle of 880
061 55" an are distance of 19.22 feet to the end of said
curve; thence South 870 241 27" East 4.81 feet; thence
parallel with said easterly line South 140 28' 3811 East
189.19 feet to the northerly line of Puente Avenue 80 feet
wide as.shown on said Tract No. 2146148; thence along last
described northerly line North 870 o4s. 10" West 37.:§9 feet
to the point of beginning; and Lots 8, 9 and 10 of Tract
No. 24648 as per map recorded in Book 665 page 68 of Maps
in the office of the County recorder of Los Angeles County,
State of California."
SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
