AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE, 1961 EDITION, VOLUME I".
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8110 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
118110. BUILDING CODE ADOPTED. 1961 EDITION.
That a certain document, three copies of -which being marked
and designated as 'Uniform Building Code, 1961 Edition, Volume 11,
published by International Conference of Building Officials, be
and the same is hereby adopted as the building code of the City
for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, altera-
tion, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy,,
equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings
and/or structures in the City, providing for issuance of permits
and collection of fees therefor, declaring and establishing fire
zones, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions and terms of the 'Uniform Building Code, 1961 Edition,
Volume I1, published by the International Conference of Building
Officials, on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby
referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out
in this Part."
SECTION 2. Section 8110.1 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
• 118110.1. AMENDMENTS.
(a) Subsection 2 of Section 2508 of said Code is hereby
amended to change the 'eight (81) feet, referred to therein to
#seven (71) feet'.
(b) Sec. 301 of said Building Code is hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new subsection (e) reading as follows:
I(e) List of Contractors. With each application for
a building permit the applicant shall submit a true and correct
list of -the names and addresses of all contractors and subcon-
tractors expected to do any work upon the proposed building or
structure.'
(a) Sec. 306 of said Building Code is hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new subsection (f) reading as follows:
1(f) Written Application. List of Contractors.
Application for final Inspection shall be made in writing upon a
form issued and/or approved by the Building Department and which
sets forth the names and addresses of all -contractors and sub-
contractors who worked upon any part of the building or structure.
The building official shall not make the final inspection until
such written application therefor shall have been filed with the
Building Department . .'
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
