Ordinance - 734ORDINANCE NO. 734 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT THE OPERATION OF BARBER SHOPS ON SUNDAYS. The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition to Chapter 3 of Article VI thereof of a new Part 4 reading as follows: "Part 4 - BARBER SHOPS 6360. SUNDAY CLOSING. No person acting as proprietor, manager, licensee, employee or agent shall keep open or operate any barber shop to which the general public resorts or has access, between the hours of twelve o'clock midnight on Saturday of each week and twelve o'clock midnight on the following day.." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. Passed and approved this 12th day of March , 1962.
