ORDINANCE NO. 711
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL
CODE SO AS TO REZONE CERTAIN PREMISES. (Hurst
and Babson) (Zone Change No. 183)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City'COuncil does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following zone change and amendment was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the
City Councils and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West'Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2r reading as follows:
"9202.2r. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the R-P Residential Professional Zone, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 128 of E. J. Baldwin's 4th Subdivision
of .a portion of the Rancho La Puente, in the City of West
Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 8 page 186 of Maps, on file in the
office of the County Recorder of said County, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Merced Avenue,
distant North 490 28, 4911 West thereon 500.00 feet, from
the intersection of said center line with the center line
of Sunset Avenue as shown by said Map; thence South 410
31' 11" West 76.58 feet, to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave northwesterly having a radius of 500.00
feet; thence southwesterly along said curve through a
central angle of 230 22' 21" an are distance of 203.96
feet to the end of said curve; thence South 640 53' 32"
West 98.12 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave southeasterly, having a radius of 500.00 feet;
thence southwesterly along said last-mentioned curve through
a central angle of 90 041 56" an arc distance of 79.26
feet, thence South 480 28' 49" East 365.59 feet; thence
North 410 31' 03" East 440.00 feet, to said center line
of Merced Avenue; thence North 480 28' 49" West 240.00
feet, to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the northeasterly 40.00 feet, and the
northwesterly 30.00 feet, and any other portion thereof'

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the -same to be published as required by
