AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL SEAL.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2900 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"2900. CITY SEAL.
The City shall have and does hereby adopt an official seal
in form as follows: the seal shall consist of two concentric
circles superimposed upon an outline of the State of California
which in turn shall be superimposed upon a surface depicting a
valley in the foreground and mountains in the distance. Between
the concentric circles at the top shall appear the words 'City off
and at the bottom the words 'Incorporated 19231. Extending
horizontally across the center of the face of the seal shall be
a rectangle containing the words 'West Covina'. The City Clerk
shall be the official custodian of the said seal."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

do hereby certify that the above Ordinance No. '710 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 12th day of June 1961.. That, thereafter,
said ordinance was duly —adopted and passed at a re lar meeting of the
City Council on the 26th day of June 19�, by the following
vote, to -wit:
