AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING THE ZONING PROVISIONS OF
THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
LAUNDRIES AND DRY CLEANING ESTABLISHMENTS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare that the following amendments were duly initiated, that notice
of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings
thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City Council, and
that the public convenience and necessity and the general welfare require
that the following amendments be made.
SECTION 2. Subsection (m) of Section 9211 of the West
Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(m) Laundry or clothe4 cleaning agency; pressing shops;
self-service laundries; and retail laundries whose entire trade is
derived solely from laundry picked up and delivered by the customer."
SECTION 3. Section 9213 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is hereby amended by deleting therefrom subsection (y) "Laundries", and
by the addition thereto of a new subsection (1.1) reading as follows:
"(l.l) Dry cleaning, retail only (non -inflammable and non-
explosive cleaning fluid to be used exclusively)."
SECTION 4. Section 9214 of the West Covina Municipal Code is
hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new subsection (r.l) reading
as follows:
"(r.l) Dry cleaning, wholesale."
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

hereby certify that the above Ordinance No. 693 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 14th day of February , 1961. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 27th day of February , 1961, by the following vote,
to -wit:
