AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE SO AS
TO REZONE .CERTAIN PREMISES. (Snell & Allen)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
• declare that the following zone change and amendment were duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the
City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare and good zoning practice require that the following zone change
and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2b reading as follows:
119202.2b. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included
in the R-3 Multiple Family Residential Zone, to -wit:
That portion of the Rancho La Puente, in the City of
West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as shown on map recorded in Book 1, pages 43 and 44 of
Patents, on file in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, and bounded on the east by the westerly
line of Irwindale Avenue, 122 feet wide, as shown by
Tract No. 18224, in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map
recorded in Book 510, at pages 27, 28 of Maps, on file
in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and
bounded on the south by the northerly line of Puente
Avenue, as described in Deed to the City of West Covina,
and recorded in Book 47110, at Page 382 of Official
Records of said County, and bounded on the west and north
by the westerly and northerly lines of the land described
in the Deed to William Clyde King and wife, recorded on
September 16, 1948 in Book 28255, at Page 194 of Official
Records of said County; EXCEPTING therefrom the northerly
200 feet, and the westerly 132 feet, and arty portion presently
zoned C-1 or C-2."
SECTION 3. The West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the addition thereto of a new section 9202.2c reading as follows:
119202.2s. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 9202.2 and the Zoning Map referred to.therein, the
following described premises are hereby placed and included in
the R-1 One -Family Zone, to -wit:
The westerly 132 feet, EXCEPTING therefrom the northerly
200 feet, of the entire property described in Section
9202.2b above before the exceptions."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 668 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 27th day of June , 1960. That, thereafter,
•said ordinance was duly adopted and passed a a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 25th day of July , 1960, by the following
vote, to -wit:
