AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
PORTION OF GRAND AVENUE AS'A COUNTY HIGHWAY AND
TO THE IMPROVEMENT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles adopted -a resolution on March 8, 1960, declaring -Grand Avenue
between approximately 1400 feet south of Rowland Avenue and 200 feet
south of San Bernardino Freeway to be a County highway and declaring
the intention of the County to improve the same, and
WHEREAS, the consent of the City of West Covina is required
pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets and Highways Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City.of West Covina
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of West Covina
consent, and it does hereby consent, to the inclusion of said portion
of Grand Avenue as a part of the system of highways of the County of
Los Angeles and to the improvement thereof by said County in the manner
proposed by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.

and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
