AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 41._OF.ORDINANCE NO.
506.RELATING_TO INSURANCE.REQUIRED FOR.AN
EXCAVATION PERMIT.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
• SECTION 1. Section 41 of Ordinance No. 506, passed and
approved on the.26th day -,of December, 1956, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"SECTION 41. Insurance Required:
During the performance of the work to be accomplished under
the provisions of the permit, the permittee shall maintain or
cause to be maintained in force public liability and property
damage insurance, including vehicles, in an insurance company
authorized to do business in the State of California, in at
least the following amounts:
Bodily injury or death E100,000.00
00,000.00 each person
each occurrence
Property damage - $25,000 each occurrence
The permittee shall file with the City Engineer, prior to
the issuance of any permit, either a certificate issued by the
insurance carrier certifying that the stipulated insurance
policies are in effect and that ten days, written notice will be
given the City prior to cancellation thereof or other evidence
of equivalent financial responsibility satisfactory to the City
Engineer."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall.publish the same as required by law.

City Council on the 9th day of May , 1960, by the following
