AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
THE WEST SIDE OF AZUSA AVENUE BETWEEN WORKMAN AND
GARVEY AVENUES. (Aschenbrenner)
W: The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following change of zone was duly initiated, that
notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and the City
Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and the general
welfare require that the following change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 325, passed and approved the 28th
day of June, 1954, Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the 8th day of
August, 1955, and the Official Zoning Map referred to therein, are
hereby amended to change from its existing zone classification to Zone
C-1 that certain real property in the City of West Covina described as
follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 1, Block 29 of the Phillips Tract, in the
City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as shown on Map recorded in Book 9, Pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous
records on file in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Workman
Avenue, 66 feet wide, with the westerly line of Azusa, 66 feet
wide as shown on Map of Tract No. 16472, recorded in Book 381,
Pages 14; 15 and 16 of Maps on file in the Office of said County
Recorder; thence South 00 14' 55" East 322.04 feet along the
westerly line of Azusa Avenue to the Easterly prolongation of
the Northerly line of Lot 81 of said Tract No. 16472; thence
North 890 26' 39" West 154.74 feet along said prolongation and
along the Northerly line of said Lot 81, to the Easterly line
of Fleetwell Avenue, 54 feet wide, as shown on Map of said Tract
No. 16472• thence North 240 23' 10" West 96.65 feet along said
Easterly dine, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave
Easterly and having a radius of 100.00 feet; thence Northerly
a distance of 42.13 feet along said curve through a central
angle of 240 08' 15" West 193.62 feet; tangent to said curve
along the Easterly line of said Fleetwell Avenue, to the
Southerly line of said Workman Avenue; thence South 890 26' 39"
East 203.00 feet, along said Southerly line to the point of
beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom the northerly 150.00 feet.
EXCEPTING ALSO that portion in Azusa Avenue, 100 feet wide, as
a State Highway.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law. '

introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 11th day of January , 1960. That,
thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 25th day of January 1960,
by the following vote, to -wit:
